Today, August 30th is officially ‘Frankenstein Day.’ This holiday is known to only a handful of people, who celebrate in honor of Mary Wollstonecraft Shelley who was born on this date in 1797. She wrote Frankenstein in 1818, probably not realizing at the time that her character would become famous in his own right, especially around Halloween. And I bet she had absolutely no clue that this far in the future, at least five or six freaky weirdos would celebrate August 30th every year in her memory.
So, happy Frankenstein Day, everybody! Where da partay at??
